|
I have been drawing and painting figures and portraits long before I took to painting landscapes. I use pastels or oils and can work from life, if sittings can be arranged, or I can use photographs if they are of good quality. I also paint and draw figures, which can be full figure portraiture
or just figure studies in a variety of pose, setting or guise. These
are available from the artists collection or you can commission
a particular study in the medium and size of your choice. How To Arrange A CommissionWhenever possible I like to meet the subject. If you think that this may be a possibility you can contact me via email or telephone to discuss.Otherwise I require good quality photographs to work from. If you can also give me any further information on particular features/colouring etc that is always helpful. 1st step - post photographs to me 2nd step - I will contact you on receipt to acknowledge receipt of photos and confirm that they are suitable to proceed with. At this stage I request a deposit payment of 30% (or approximate) the commission fee payable by either credit card, cheque or via pay pal. 3rd step - on clearance of deposit I proceed with working on portrait/figure painting. Allow three weeks for completion or six weeks for group portraits or larger format. 4th step - I will post you a photograph of the finished painting (this will eventually be via digital mail I hope) on receipt. If image satisfactory the balance is payable. I ship painting wrapped and protected on board.
